Nelson’s practice focuses on civil and criminal tax litigation matters, where he draws on his past experience serving as a summer law clerk for the Hon. Joseph R. Goeke of the United States Tax Court. He has experience with federal, state and local tax matters. Nelson has also assisted with the formation of non-profit entities and with the tax implications of general business transactions.
Prior to FBT, Nelson worked in the National Tax Department of a Big Four accounting firm where he focused in the area of state and local transactional tax, assisting clients with the tax consequences of mergers and acquisitions and post-transactional planning.
