Frost Brown Todd (FBT) Louisville Member Stephen E. Embry was recently appointed chair of the newly formed Substantive Law Section on Data Breach, Privacy and Cyber Insurance of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC).

“I am happy that the FDCC has created this section and am honored to be its first chair. Cyber insurance, data breach and privacy issues are multiplying at a dizzying pace and we hope that this section can be a valuable resource to Federation members to keep up with – and even ahead of – the developments,” says Embry.

Embry, a national litigator with nearly 40 years of experience in developing solutions to complex litigation and corporate problems, frequently handles consumer class action and mass tort litigation cases. He previously served as chair of FBT’s Mass Tort Litigation practice group. He is currently a member of the Litigation department and fbtTECH  ฬถ the firm’s technology group, which focuses on various aspects of existing and future technology, anticipating the ways in which they will impact the legal system as well as the issues facing clients.

Embry also serves as the vice chair of the Legal Technology Resource Center of the American Bar Association (ABA), and is a member of the ABA’s Law Practice Today Editorial Board and Law Leadership Committee. He is a frequently published author on topics ranging from class action lawsuits to cybersecurity and data privacy.
