Brion recognizes the business, regulatory, intellectual property, and economic challenges that companies face on a regular basis. He spent over 15 years supporting product development, early-stage company creation and technology commercialization activities, including most recently serving as general counsel and chief operating officer of a transportation and insurtech startup.
In addition to being a registered patent attorney, Brionโs practice involves drafting and negotiating software, SasS and other technology agreements, data privacy, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, intellectual property, and transportation law with focus on creating solutions to compliance with federal leasing statutes and developing small fleet insurance programs.
Brion has significant experience related to legal issues faced by early-stage companies in all industries and the challenges faced by companies of all sizes relating to changes in technology and laws in the transportation industry. Brion was involved in negotiating all types of legal contracts including $500 million credit facility agreement with venture capital group, cargo, rate contracts, transportation independent contractor agreements, partner agreements, technology license agreements (inbound and outbound), and shipper/carrier contracts.
