Barry, an Indianapolis native, is passionate about serving the community. His passion for the government services practice group is derived from his father who has been a governmental employee for the last 35 years. Barry defends schools, law enforcement entities, and municipalities in state and federal court against state and federal constitutional challenges, 42 U.S.C. ยง 1983 claims, and state or federal challenges to municipalitiesโ local ordinances or regulations. His defense work encompasses all stages of the litigation process, from pre-litigation through appeal.
Barry graduated from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he served as a student ambassador and was a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Barry joined the firm in 2021 after participating in Frost Brown Toddโs summer associate program in 2020. Before joining the firm, Barry served the Indianapolis community as a legal extern for the Marion County Prosecutorโs Office and as a security specialist at the Marion County Sheriffโs Office.
In addition, Barry clerked at a local Indianapolis litigation firm specializing in products liability and personal injury. He gained in-house counsel experience while interning under General Counsel at Vertellus, LLC, a leading provider in the world of specialty chemicals. Before law school, Barry graduated magna cum laude from the University of Indianapolis where he was a four-year member of the wrestling team, leading them to the schoolโs first two regional titles. In his free time, Barry enjoys cheering on the Colts, Pacers, and Roncalli Athletics.
