We represented the Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma as plaintiff-appellant in this action seeking recognition of treaty-based fishing rights on Lake Erie. The court of appeals affirmed the district court’s summary judgment against the Tribe on the ground that the Tribe had abandoned its fishing rights when it was forcibly removed from Ohio in the 1800s.
