Frost Brown Todd (FBT) is pleased to announce the addition of Alana R. Shockey to its Columbus office and Environmental practice group. Shockey comes from the Environmental Enforcement Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, where she served as Associate Assistant Attorney General and represented the State of Ohio and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency in state enforcement litigation and administrative proceedings. Her experience includes litigation of complex cases involving wastewater, wetlands and stream impacts, and drinking, groundwater, and air pollution control.

Shockey also served as Assistant Attorney General in the Planning & Analysis Section of the Attorney General’s Office.  In the Planning & Analysis Section, Shockey served as a member of the Advanced Energy Team, drafted the Environmental Background Investigation Unit statutory and rule amendments, and co-led the Economic Development Accountability Program. She was also part of the Major Appeals Group and assisted the Ohio Solicitor General with brief writing and legal research.

Shockey received her J.D. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University.
