Frost Brown Todd is pleased to announce that Carol Smith, Member-in-Charge of the firm’s Charleston office, has been recognized by West Virginia Super Lawyers® for attaining a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Smith has also been selected for inclusion in the 2015 Super Lawyers Business Edition, an annual resource serving as the to-go guide for general counsel and executives in charge of making legal hiring decisions. Jared M. Tully, also member in the firm’s Charleston office, has been selected to the 2015 edition of West Virginia Rising Stars®, and is recognized among the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state. He was previously selected to the 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions.

Smith has 27 years of experience as a private practice attorney in West Virginia. She is a member of Frost Brown Todd’s Product Liability Litigation, Mass Tort and Labor and Employment practice groups, and has served on three national trial counsel teams working on mass tort litigation throughout the country. She has represented clients across West Virginia, and serves as a local and regional counsel for national corporations in a wide range of litigation cases. Smith was also included in the 2014 edition of West Virginia Super Lawyers®.

Tully is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation and Tort and Insurance Defense practice groups and serves as vice-chair of the firm’s Financial Services Litigation Section. He routinely represents financial institutions in litigation involving claims of predatory lending and violations of the West Virginia Consumer Credit Protection Act and the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Tully represents national banks in various types of litigation, including consumer and commercial disputes, and he defendsinsurance companies against claims of bad faith. Additionally, he regularly represents clients in high profile litigation.
