Its purpose is to connect, engage and develop the city’s young professional community through numerous activities and causes. As an all-volunteer organization relying on strategic partnerships with the business community, it teams up with Metro Government, Greater Louisville Inc., Leadership Louisville Center and numerous other organizations to increase awareness of issues that affect young professionals in the area, and to inspire members to make a difference in the community through the investment of time, talent and other resources. YPAL members are actively engaged in the local arts scene, volunteer for numerous nonprofits, and attend formal training programs for leadership development, such as the YPAL Emerging Leaders Program, established in 2013.
