Frost Brown Todd’s (FBT) Washington D.C. office welcomes Partner Jim Carroll. He will also act as Principal for CivicPoint, FBT’s public affairs subsidiary. Carroll assists clients with a full range of government enforcement and compliance issues, from internal compliance reviews to highly publicized government crackdowns. He has substantial experience as a legal advisor for both political and corporate entities, including serving as U.S. Drug Czar for three years and Global Director of Compliance at Ford Motor Company.
“Jim Carroll’s hiring marks a tipping point for Frost Brown Todd’s Washington, DC office,” says FBT Washington D.C. Partner-in-Charge Jonathan Miller. “The expertise he brings on one of the most significant issues of our time – addressing the devastating opioid crisis – positions our firm as a national leader in public policy development. The bi-partisan bona fides Jim brings to the table – having been unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the White House Drug Czar – enhances our ability to represent our clients before Congress and administrative agencies. We are therefore thrilled to have Jim Carroll as an essential member of our Washington, D.C. team.”
“The opportunity to work with the widely-respected and client-focused Frost Brown Todd team is a rare honor,” says Carroll. “Being part of the CivicPoint team in D.C., led by Jonathan Miller, means that our clients will get the fullest range of benefits and services available and unparalleled access to today’s lawmakers and policymakers.”
A graduate of George Mason University School of Law and the University of Virginia, Carroll began his legal career as a prosecutor in the Virginia Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Fairfax, VA. He went on to serve as Assistant Bar Counsel for the Virginia State Bar before transitioning his career to the federal level.
