Ethics Problems Confronting In-House Counsel

This session will look at several ethics issues that are unique to or different for in-house counsel, as well as several ethics and risk management issues involved in the relationship between in-house counsel and outside counsel. Topics to be covered include conflicts and waivers; defining who is the client; in-house reporting-up and reporting-out requirements; privileges and confidentiality in internal investigations; and privilege issues with respect to email communications.
