  • Real Estate Partners Kevin Maguire and Nicole Karam Join Frost Brown Todd Dallas Office

Kevin Maguire and Nicole Karam have joined Frost Brown Todd’s (FBT) Dallas office as partners in its Real Estate Practice Group. Both litigators, Maguire and Karam bring extensive experience advising clients on real estate needs in the energy industry.

Maguire’s practice focuses on helping clients resolve eminent domain cases and property disputes, advising both public and private companies on the acquisition of property for roads, schools, gas pipelines, powerlines, and other public infrastructure. He also helps clients navigate government regulation of land, including inverse condemnation, zoning and regulatory takings.

“Energy and infrastructure needs have never been greater in Texas, and we now have bolstered our team with two highly qualified lawyers who know how to handle the complex processes surrounding the land and other real estate assets these projects require,” said Real Estate Practice Group Leader Christina M. Sprecher. “Kevin and Nicole’s arrival deepens our bench in Dallas so we can continue supporting our clients’ business goals.”

Karam focuses her practice on condemnation matters and other real property disputes. She primarily represents condemning authorities and landowners throughout Texas, helping condemning authorities acquire property to be used for various public purposes, and assisting individual property owners with government acquisition of private property for infrastructure needs. In so doing, she negotiates easements, encroachment agreements, and possession and use agreements, as well as initiates litigation, including condemnation proceedings, and defends existing property rights as disputes arise.

“The legal market in Texas is as competitive as ever, and we want to capitalize on this trend to ensure the firm continues to offer best-in-class service to our many clients,” said Dallas Office Partner-in-Charge Edward W. Moore, Jr. “The additions of both Kevin and Nicole highlight our firm’s ongoing strategy to grow our presence in North Texas and build our team throughout the Lone Star State.”

Maguire earned his J.D. at the Southern Methodist University School of Law and B.A. at the University of Oklahoma. Karam earned her J.D. at the Albany Law School of Union University and B.A. at the University of Rochester.
