Zachary’s practice focuses on international trade, alcohol regulatory, and general corporate matters. He advises clients on a range of compliance matters, including U.S. sanctions, customs regulations, and tariff classifications. Zachary has significant experience navigating the Department of Commerce’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the Department of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), including preparing voluntary disclosures for violations under both regimes. In addition, Zachary regularly counsels clients on matters involving the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), including regulatory compliance and the preparation and submission of filings.
During law school, Zachary served as Editor-in-Chief of the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture, & Natural Resources Law and as Secretary of the Business Law Society. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Summer Associate at Frost Brown Todd and a Legal Intern with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy in Lexington.
