Biography

Lauren is an Associate in the Data, Digital Assets, & Technology Group. After joining FBT as part of the Summer Associate program, she now focuses her practice on technology transactions, particularly as clients’ needs relate to software and advertising concerns. She works on contracts at all stages from initial drafting to advising on a variety of matters, including development and collaboration, licensing, and addressing underlying intellectual property rights in a transaction. Lauren is currently building her secondary practice within the data security and privacy space, further developing her experience in TDPSA, CPRA, and GDPR compliance concerns, including reporting carve-outs for incident response analyses.

As part of the development of her technology practice, Lauren seeks out opportunities to learn about innovative entrepreneurial endeavors taking place in Houston. She also dedicates her volunteer efforts to the LGBTQ+ community by helping with name and gender marker changes, as well as participates in local efforts to improve immigrant rights.
