Biography

Elle is a Senior Associate in the Product, Tort, and Insurance Litigation practice group. She has extensive experience litigating commercial disputes, premises liability, products liability, tort, and wrongful death matters. Elle also focuses her practice on pre-suit accident investigation, counseling, and advisement.

Elle has represented national, multinational, and international retailers, distributors, manufacturers, insurers, and financial entities. She strives to gain a deep understanding of her clients’ business needs and values. Elle guides her clients through all stages of litigation with a strategic action plan tailored to each client’s real-world goals.

Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, Elle practiced litigation at a civil trial and appellate firm in Nashville.

While attending Vanderbilt University Law School, Elle concentrated her studies on business law and corporate management. She earned a certificate of specialization in Law & Business in addition to her J.D. degree. Elle also served as an Articles Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law

Legal Work Highlights

Defended a Fortune 500 company in wrongful death and catastrophic injury matters involving claims of negligent parking lot design.

Secured dismissal as a matter of law of numerous premises liability, products liability, vicarious liability, and intentional tort claims against a Fortune 500 company.

Jointly defended a multinational retailer and international manufacturer in a products liability matter involving a catastrophic injury. Secured dismissal of all claims against the retailer and negotiated a favorable pretrial resolution for the manufacturer.

Successfully negotiated favorable pretrial resolutions in numerous wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and fire loss matters.

Secured summary judgment for a Fortune 500 company at the district court level. Subsequently drafted an appellate brief that served as the basis for the Sixth Circuit’s affirmance of summary judgment.

Negotiated favorable pretrial resolutions for a Fortune 500 company in matters involving claims of fires and explosions caused by alleged product defects.

Defended multinational companies in products liability matters involving food preparation and consumable goods.

Developed trial strategy for intentional tort, pharmacy negligence, premises liability, products liability, and wrongful death matters.
