Biography

Christina is the Practice Group Leader for Real Estate at Frost Brown Todd and serves on the firm’s Compensation Committee. As Practice Group Leader, she leads a team of approximately 80 real estate practitioners who handle all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing.

With respect to her own practice, spanning more than 20 years, Christina has advised clients on complex and multi-faceted deals involving various project types, such as shopping center, retail, restaurant, office, manufacturing, industrial/warehouse, multifamily, and mixed-use projects. She has represented global, national, and regional clients, including real estate investment trusts, developers, and operators, in closing over a billion dollars in transactions, including sale/leaseback arrangements.

Christina is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), a prestigious national organization of real estate attorneys. Admission to ACREL is by invitation only after a rigorous screening process. She was also named a “Thomson Reuters Stand-out Lawyer” in 2024 as a result of being one of the three most outstanding lawyers one (or more) of her global clients worked with in the last three years as part of Thomson Reuters’ global research with senior in-house counsel.

Ancillary to her real estate practice, she also represents clients in the data center and telecommunications industries, including data center operators and owners, high-speed internet, video, voice and data providers, as well as third-party users of such services, with respect to data center, fiber network, and cell site leases, Colocation Agreements, MSAs, SLAs, license and marketing agreements, easement agreements and revenue sharing agreements.

Legal Work Highlights

Represented publicly traded real estate investment trust in the sale of an industrial/warehouse portfolio of properties in a deal valued at just under $1 billion.

Represented global manufacturing company with acquisition, development, financing (including economic development incentives), and construction of new North American Headquarters valued at $60 million.

Represented New York-based investment firm conducting title due diligence for the acquisition of 3,000 residential assets in a compressed time frame for a transaction valued at $500 million.

Represented private equity firm in acquisition of publicly held restaurant operation involving 270 locations across 32 states in a transaction valued at $335 million.

Represented regional healthcare system in a deal valued at $24 million to acquire a portion of an existing facility located on a 70-acre campus requiring documentation of a complex Shared Facilities, Separation, and Easement Agreement which included a separation plan and master services utility agreement to address the cost allocation and separation of electricity, chilled water, compressed air and steam for the facility and the portion of the property retained by the seller.

Represented telecommunications/communications/IT provider valued at $1.8 billion with all aspects of its office, data center, and fiber network locations throughout the Midwest in deals valued in excess of $600 million.

Represented major department store in $30 million sale of property located at a mixed-use project in greater San Francisco, California metropolitan area and short-term leaseback.

Represented major department store in $34 million sale-leaseback of property located at a mixed-use project in Los Angeles, California.

Represented global logistics provider with all aspects of warehouse and office portfolio with respect to acquisition, development and leasing.

Represented multi-family developer client with Corporate Transparency Act compliance for numerous entities.

Represented developer in numerous land acquisition and build-to-suit lease transactions with nation’s largest operator of rural lifestyle retail stores in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Maryland and West Virginia.

Represented publicly traded restaurant operation in disposition of 80 locations in 3 states in a deal valued at $175 million.

Represented privately held restaurant operation in acquisition of 76 locations in 3 states.

Represented publicly traded company in leasing over one million square feet of Class A office space.

Represented national department store chain in connection with all aspects of its retail real estate portfolio.

Represented publicly held regional telecommunications company with all aspects of its real estate portfolio.

Represented purchaser of industrial park property for construction of a multimillion-dollar fulfillment center.

Represented corporate client in negotiation of a building lease in Southeast Asia.

Represented restaurant franchise owner/operator in acquiring locations throughout the region through lease or purchase.
