Frost Brown Todd (FBT), a leading national full-service law firm, announced today the appointment of Truda Chow as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Chow will oversee all administrative functions of the firm and will assist in strategic, financial, and operational decisions.
Chow brings more than 20 years of high-level management and consulting experience with a focus on the legal market. She has a strong history of growing revenue and profitability by developing and driving strategy, leading M&A efforts, improving productivity, and streamlining operations.
“Truda’s experience pursuing a growth strategy while enhancing and maintaining firm culture will be a valuable asset as Frost Brown Todd continues to expand its client services, bench strength, and geographical footprint,” said Adam Hall, CEO, Frost Brown Todd. “The firm has always boasted a best-in-class team and outstanding client service, and we’re confident Truda will help lead us to the next level of excellence.”
Chow has extensive law firm experience, leading regional strategy and business development for a global 100 firm and acting as a law firm strategy consultant before pivoting to operations. Chow has led teams of 600+ individuals in several business areas, including human resources, finance, marketing, IT, administrative services, and practice group management.
“It’s the perfect time to join Frost Brown Todd—the firm is growing, and I look forward to adding to that momentum,” said Chow. “I am impressed at how the firm continues to grow to meet its clients’ growing needs through expansion into large markets such as California and Colorado, all while maintaining the Midwestern touch for which it’s known. I hope to tap into my experience to further strengthen Frost Brown Todd’s quality of service and highly engaged internal culture.”
Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, Chow served as the North America Chief Operating Officer at a large firm, where she was a key member of the North American management team. She was responsible for finance, HR, marketing, business development, administrative support, and more. During her tenure, she produced consistent revenue and profitability growth through effective strategic planning and implementation, the resolution of financial issues, and by introducing new processes, policies, and procedures. Chow replaces the firm’s former Chief Operating Officer, Jill Burton, who served in several leadership positions during her 40-plus years at FBT.
Chow holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is admitted to the Bar of the State of Illinois (inactive).
