  • FBT Represents dormakaba in Strategic Expansion with Avant Garde Systems Inc.

Frost Brown Todd (FBT) represented dormakaba Group, a leading global provider in the access solutions market, in its agreement to acquire Avant Garde Systems Inc., one of the largest independent providers of entrance systems control products in the U.S.

This acquisition, which is expected to close in January 2026, strengthens dormakaba’s North American presence by expanding its turnkey access automation capabilities, from consultation through installation to ongoing support, and positions the company for growth in high-value verticals including data centers, airports, and nationwide integrators.

Founded in 2015 and based in Clarksville, IN, Avant Garde will integrate into dormakaba’s core portfolio to enhance its entrance systems control business and boost high-margin opportunities.

The FBT team that represented dormakaba was led by Clarissa Walstrom and Amy Wilson, with support from Robert E. Hudson, Ricardo Morales, Matt Schantz, Kaitlin Hizny, Megan Dollenmeyer, Eric Beecher, Micah Schrand, Carl Lammers, Emily Cheng, Jan de Beer, Zachary Mills, Chris Kahn, and Marty Mooney.
