Preparing Your Title IX Team to Implement Title IX’s New Regulations

August 12, 2020 2:00 pm EST Online Webinar

The U.S. Department of Education’s new Title IX regulations include training requirements for your k12 district’s Title IX Team—which should include (1) the district’s Title IX Coordinator, (2) those who will be investigating allegations of sexual harassment, (3) any informal resolution facilitators, and (4) at least two district decision-makers who will adjudicate allegations of sexual harassment.

Join members of Frost Brown Todd’s education law group for a 2-hour live Webinar as we help Title IX Teams prepare to implement the U.S. Department of Education’s new regulations. Released in May during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic and going into effect August 14th as schools prepare for an unprecedented school year, these new regulations have likely not been top of mind for many school leaders. This webinar will efficiently sift through the new regulations and provide k12 school leaders and their Title IX Teams with the information they need to confidently implement the new Title IX regulations.

Topics to be covered include changes to investigation and hearing procedures for k12 schools, necessary changes to District policies and procedures, required training for Title IX participants, and practical advice on conducting investigations of alleged sexual harassment. To provide maximum benefit, this live Webinar will address each of the training requirements under the new regulations for all Title IX Team members.
