In March 2006, FBT lawyers tried a case for our client United Parcel Service, Inc. in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio where Plaintiff sued for disability discrimination, sex discrimination, and retaliation.
We obtained Directed Verdict on the disability discrimination claim. The sex discrimination and retaliation claims were submitted to the jury. We convinced the jury that UPS did not intentionally discriminate or retaliate against plaintiff, as reflected by the jury’s responses on the special interrogatories, but the jury answered some special interrogatories inconsistently and those inconsistent answers resulted in the Court ordering a new trial on those claims. The new trial is set for April 21, 2008.
