Tabitha is a senior associate and a member of the firm’s Commercial Finance Practice Group and Multifamily Housing Industry Sub-Team. She represents equity investors, syndicators, developers and lenders across the country in real estate transactions for affordable housing and historic preservation. She specializes in transactions utilizing low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, and other federal, state and local government subsidies.
Tabitha also has extensive experience with representing institutional lenders in other real estate transactions, including commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and collateralized loan obligations (CLO). Tabitha has represented lenders in loan originations involving hotels, offices, retail centers, manufactured housing, nursing homes and assisted-living facilities. Because of this experience, she has significant knowledge with respect to ground leases, master lease structures, Delaware statutory trusts and interest rate caps. She has also assisted lenders with asset management matters, including loan modifications and various workouts.
Tabitha earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and graduated magna cum laude with the honor of being recognized as the Outstanding Graduate and a member of the Brandeis Honor Society. While in law school, Tabitha served as president of the Women’s Law Caucus and the public relations chair of the Student Bar Association.
