Tony concentrates his practice in litigation and represents public and private employers in a wide range of employment and labor issues including collective bargaining, and representation before the EEOC, the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board. He also defends clients in both state and federal courts. Tony represents both large and small public entities including sheriff and police departments, cities, and counties, and has defended many class action matters. Tony also serves as the outside general counsel for an HR consulting firm that works with local government on personnel and employment issues. His private clients operate in the manufacturing and food services industries.

Tony’s litigation work includes dozens of successful jury trials in state and federal courts. He has won many jury trials involving claims brought under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, and constitutional claims brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Tony is also a respected appellate advocate having argued dozens of cases before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Indiana Court of Appeals, and the Indiana Supreme Court. Tony also defended an Indiana city in a case argued before the United States Supreme Court.
Tony is a regular speaker on employment and civil rights matters, public records requests, and employment practices.
Outside of the practice of law, Tony’s greatest passion is spending time with his wife and three children. An avid reader, he often has a book in his hands when not enjoying family time or out on local bike trails.
