Biography

Anne (“Annee”) focuses her practice on the representation of employers in a broad spectrum of labor and employment matters, including employment litigation, traditional labor work, and advising employers on day-to-day personnel issues. Annee regularly assists clients with litigation and advice regarding discrimination and harassment issues, navigating tricky FMLA and ADA issues, and wage and hour compliance.  In addition, Annee frequently assists employers with addressing employee privacy issues and protecting company confidential information through non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements.  Annee has represented a wide variety of small, mid-size, and large employers, across many industries, as well as, several Ohio municipalities.

Annee is a regular speaker on labor and employment trends, discrimination and harassment issues, and best employment practices. She also provides ongoing education and training to many clients, which allows employers and their staff to identify and address human resources concerns with confidence.

Outside of the office, Annee enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughters.  Annee is the Past-President of the Human Resources of Central Ohio, a member of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Development Board, and the Secretary of the Schwachman Diamond Syndrome Alliance and enjoys volunteering in the community.

Breach of contract cases involving noncompete, nonsolicitation, and nondisclosure agreements
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission charges
Interference and retaliation claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act
Wage and hour lawsuits under the Fair Labor Standards Act and related state laws
Union grievances, arbitration, and unfair labor practice charges
Workers’ compensation and workers’ compensation retaliation lawsuits

In addition to her litigation practice, Annee frequently advises management regarding employment and personnel issues that arise in the workplace, including:

Termination and discipline matters
Reasonable accommodations and related medical leave issues
Personnel policies and employee handbooks
Wage and hour issues
Noncompete, nonsolicitation, and nondisclosure agreements
Harassment avoidance
Traditional labor issues
