Frost Brown Todd (FBT), a full-service national law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Nirvana India Dove as its new Chief Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Belonging (IDEB) Officer.
With more than a decade of experience advancing IDEB efforts in the legal space, Dove brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. She has a proven track record in developing and implementing strategic diversity-focused recruiting, professional development, retention and client engagement plans, advising, coaching, and mentoring attorneys, and managing the DEI analytics function for multiple large firms. Dove is also an attorney herself, giving her valuable insight into the unique legal landscape, the critical role IDEB plays in law firm recruiting and retention, and how IDEB commitments and meaningful progress ultimately translate to value for clients.
“Frost Brown Todd is deeply committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive team environment. Nirvana’s experience leading the formation and implementation of DEI strategies and policies will allow us to forge ahead in our continuous effort to create a more vibrant firm where everyone feels valued, included, and empowered to do their best work,” said FBT Chief Executive Officer Adam Hall.
Dove will oversee FBT’s approach to the four pillars of IDEB: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Belonging. A Mansfield Rule™ Plus certified firm, FBT has worked to build a robust, formalized plan for amplifying employee engagement, well-being and active allyship within the firm. FBT has also deployed strategies such as diverse hiring practices, regular inclusion training, vigorous reporting, community engagement, stay interviews, and more to engage the whole firm in the effort to create a workplace that’s welcoming and inclusive for all.
Dove earned her J.D. at Emory University School of Law and completed her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in communications and sociology at the University of Pennsylvania.
