Craig J. Cox and Daniel A. Murray have joined the growing Dallas office of Frost Brown Todd (FBT) as a member and managing associate, respectively. Both attorneys join the firm’s Intellectual Property Law and Litigation Practice Group, which has had a strong presence in the IP arena for more than 35 years. The team is recognized as one of the world’s top trademark groups by the World Trademark Review 100, and as one of the top IP practices in Middle America by Chambers USA ®.
Craig Cox has more than 20 years of experience handling all aspects of identifying, acquiring and protecting various types of intellectual property. He focuses on patent prosecution and IP transactions, and managing the IP portfolios of U.S. and international companies across a broad range of industries. Cox also works with clients on licensing, technology transfer and other IP issues in M&A matters, and has represented both public and private companies in licensing agreements and monetization programs, joint development agreements, asset purchase agreements, outsourcing agreements, distribution agreements, transition services agreements, service provider agreements and other intellectual property-related agreements. Cox has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M and earned his law degree at the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1994.
Daniel Murray provides a variety of services related to intellectual property, including patent and trademark prosecution, IP and software licensing, and litigation. He serves clients in many industries and technologies, including telecommunications and smartphones, oil and gas, software, payment processing, electrical circuits, aerospace, radio frequency (RF) and antenna, among others. Murray attended Southern Methodist University, where he earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He earned his J.D. at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2007.
