Scott has developed a broad practice focused on finance, real estate and general business advising. He has extensive experience in public finance transactions having served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, disclosure counsel and purchaser’s counsel. Scott’s representative experience includes real estate purchase agreements and leases. He also serves as general counsel to public and governmental entities, councils, boards and commissions advising on multiple aspects, including open door laws, public records issues, and various aspects of economic development and redevelopment initiatives.
In addition, Scott advises clients in the sports and entertainment industries. He serves as counsel to businesses and private entities, advising them on administrative and operational matters, entity formation, contract negotiations, governance and general corporate compliance.
He received his law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Illinois State University.
Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, Scott was an Assistant Commissioner for the Ohio Valley Conference and worked as a judicial law clerk for the Montgomery County Superior Court. Scott also was twice named an NCAA Division I Academic All-American in cross-country and track and field as a student-athlete.
