Biography

Megan practices tax law, specifically in employee benefits, with a focus on ERISA matters. She has experience assisting clients with the design, implementation and administration of various employee benefit plans, including equity compensation plans, defined benefit and defined contribution plans, and employee stock ownership plans.

In her employee benefits practice, Megan guides employers through complex regulatory landscapes, ensuring compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, COBRA, and the Affordable Care Act, among others. Megan has been involved in several annuity transactions, advising plan sponsors and fiduciaries on lift-out strategies and plan terminations. Her work supports clients in managing pension liabilities while maintaining regulatory compliance. She also assists with correcting plan failures and the treatment of employee benefits in mergers and acquisitions.
