Kendal is a Managing Associate at the firm and a member of the Real Estate Practice Group, the Finance Industry Team and the Multifamily Industry Team. She has considerable real estate experience representing both borrowers and lenders, focusing on financing multifamily, industrial, retail, commercial and mixed-use properties nationwide. Kendal has extensive experience as opinion counsel and is the Opinion Chair of the Multifamily Industry Team. Kendal also specializes in non-consolidation opinions, and routinely issues these opinions on the borrower side as well as reviews such opinions on the lender side. Kendal’s background also includes experience in bankruptcy and restructuring and she has represented debtors and landlords in insolvency proceedings. Kendal received her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law in 2016. While in law school, Kendal served as a Dean’s Fellow, an articles editor for the Administrative Law Review and a student attorney for the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic where she represented start-up technology companies and documentary film producers. During her last year of law school, Kendal clerked for in-house counsel at a large defense contractor. Kendal holds a master’s degree from New York University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago.
