Jason assists clients of all sizes on implementing intellectual property strategies that align with their business goals. Having a background in mechanical engineering, he prepares and prosecutes US, international, and foreign patent applications on a variety of mechanical and related technologies. He also performs patentability, freedom-to-practice, and patent infringement investigations on such technologies, and he counsels on transactional matters involving intellectual property assets.
Jason draws upon engineering experience in technologies including medical devices, industrial robotics, and turbine engines. During engineering school, Jason served internships with Ethicon and GE Aviation in Cincinnati, Ohio, in which capacities he assisted on designing test instrumentation for surgical stapling devices and aircraft turbofan engines. Prior to joining Frost Brown Todd, Jason was a patent attorney with a boutique intellectual property law firm having approximately fifty attorneys.
