Barry, an Indianapolis native, is passionate about serving the community. As an attorney in the government services practice group, his focus is derived from his father who has been a governmental employee for the last 35 years. Barry defends schools, law enforcement entities, and municipalities in state and federal court against state and federal constitutional challenges, 42 U.S.C. § 1983 claims, and state or federal challenges to municipalities’ local ordinances or regulations. His defense work encompasses all stages of the litigation process, from pre-litigation through appeal.
Prior to Frost Brown Todd, Barry specialized in products liability and personal injury at a boutique firm in Indianapolis. Barry also gained in-house experience when he worked under the General Counsel at Vertellus, LLC n/k/a Aurorium, a leading provider in the world of specialty chemicals.
Barry graduated from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he externed at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, served as a student ambassador, and was a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Barry graduated magna cum laude from the University of Indianapolis where he was a four-year member of the wrestling team, leading them to the school’s first two regional titles. In his free time, Barry enjoys cheering on the Colts, Pacers, and Roncalli Athletics.
