  • Veteran C-Suite Legal Executive Bruce Wu Joins Frost Brown Todd’s San Francisco Office

Dr. Bruce Wu has joined Frost Brown Todd’s (FBT) Private Equity and Venture Practice Group. With a robust background in the life sciences, AI, and high-tech industries, and extensive experience as in-house legal counsel, Wu brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the firm.

Wu comes to FBT after serving in several c-suite executive roles, including Chief Legal Officer and Chief People Officer, at multiple technology companies in the Bay Area. Prior to his in-house roles, he practiced as an IP attorney at Am Law 100 firms. Wu’s distinctive blend of technical and legal experience, coupled with his in-house experience, allows him to navigate complex client matters effectively, making him an asset to the firm and its clients.

In his new role with the Private Equity and Venture group at FBT, Wu is poised to play a pivotal role in building upon a nationwide venture practice. His experience in growing and developing teams, in combination with his acumen as both an IP and corporate attorney and his community involvement in the Bay Area, aligns perfectly with the firm’s strategic growth goals.

Wu has a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and a Ph.D. and a M.S. both in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is fluent in five languages, including Mandarin and Taiwanese.
