Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has started to announce some of the sectors that he hopes to reopen as part of Phase 2 of his Healthy at Work reopening plan.
Since April, the Governor has encouraged businesses and trade associations to submit reopening plans to help the administration develop sector-specific guidance.
Like the businesses reopening as part of Phase 1, all businesses reopening in Phase 2 must meet certain minimum requirements and sector-specific guidance.
Those sectors that Governor Beshear has identified to reopen in Phase 2 (with targeted reopening date noted) include:
- June 1:
- Auctions
- Auto/Dirt Track Racing
- Aquatic Centers
- Bowling Alleys
- Fishing Tournaments
- Fitness Centers
- Kentucky State Park Lodges
- Movie Theaters
- Salato Wildlife Education Center
- June 8
- Childcare (in-home programs)
- Aquariums
- Distilleries
- Museums
- Limited Outdoor Attractions
- Libraries
- Horse Shows
- June 11
- Kentucky Horse Park
- Kentucky State Park Campgrounds
- June 15
- June 29
- Bars
- Gatherings of 50 People (just in time for 4th of July cookouts!)
- Youth Sports (expanded activities)
As with Phase 1, this calendar is subject to adjustment – with scheduled reopenings moving forward or backward – depending upon what’s going on with virus and how reopening has gone with other sectors. The Governor’s stated goal with this advance guidance is to give businesses time to plan.
We expect guidance to remain fluid with many changes, so please follow Frost Brown Todd for the latest updates to Governor Beshear’s Healthy at Work initiative.
