Pat is the founding chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Department. His practice consists of labor law under the National Labor Relations Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1991, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Immigration Reform and Control Act and other federal and state statutory and common law issues involving employee relations and litigation (exclusively representing management).
Pat spends considerable time consulting with clients and engaging in preventive measures to avoid litigation, representing clients in both the private and public sectors.
His experience includes negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, handling union organizing campaigns and litigation of cases involving employee relations before the United States Supreme Court, various United States Circuit Courts of Appeal, Federal District Courts, the National Labor Relations Board, United States Department of Labor and various state and local agencies.
From 1968 to 1972 he served as a trial attorney for the National Labor Relations Board in the Cincinnati, Ohio Regional Office.
