Trent focuses on patent prosecution in a variety of arts including mechanical, electrical, and medical devices.
During law school, Trent worked for the Ohio State University Office of Technology Licensing and Commercialization. While there, he helped evaluate technology developed by Ohio State University professors, engineers and scientists for commercial potential and patentability. Later, he worked at Frost Brown Todd as a Summer Associate for the Intellectual Property practice group, gaining experience in all areas of Intellectual Property law.
Before attending law school, Trent worked as a welding engineer for a major defense contractor responsible for building aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines for the United States Navy. In that capacity, he gained valuable experience related to joining a wide variety of materials, conventional and exotic, for both nuclear and non-nuclear applications.
