Skyler is a business and employment litigator. He serves as trusted counsel for public entities and private companies in a wide array of matters and sub-disciplines. Skyler has worked for public utilities, municipalities, and large and small businesses litigating a variety of general business, contract, eminent domain, and tort defense matters. In addition, Skyler has experience defending wrongful termination and wage-and-hour claims for clients throughout California. From time to time, Skyler has also worked on various transactional, policy, and employment matters for the Firm’s educational institution clients.
Skyler provides a down-to-earth, practical approach to client relationships while providing the high-quality, professional, and responsive representation that clients expect. Skyler’s strengths lie in his ability to effectively communicate with clients and his tenacity in investigating complex factual and legal issues, while expertly driving cases to resolution or trial in a cost-effective manner. With the proven ability to transition between practice areas, Skyler has demonstrated an innate ability to adapt and learn quickly and has been a leading force in process improvement and new technology efforts for trial efficiency and presentation.
While in law school, Skyler worked as a full-time paralegal for large banking and insurance clients, where he was often asked to assist senior attorneys in complex, high-profile, and sensitive matters. As Skyler has developed his own practice, he attributes this experience to ensuring effective communication and collaboration with his clients.
Skyler is also active in his local community. He is an avid blood and platelet donor at Saddleback Memorial Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Skyler is also a girls’ soccer and softball coach, while participating in the father/daughter program for the local YMCA promoting the development, responsibility, respect, and empowerment for girls through camping, outdoor activities, and family.
