Michael advises his clients on a full spectrum of employment law and commercial disputes. He is a skilled trial attorney with an unmatched courtroom track record of success. Michael is a former assistant general counsel for a Fortune 200 company, which allows him to understand both the legal and business needs of his clients. He utilizes his practical, business-oriented approach, honed from his in-house experience, to strategize and create favorable solutions and outcomes.
Michael has more than 25 years of legal experience which includes a decade as in-house counsel, an extensive trial and litigation record, expertise as a traditional labor law attorney and 24 years as a military attorney, where he retired as a colonel.
Michael advises clients on a full spectrum of employment issues, from negotiating executive employment agreements, disciplinary actions, including termination, and enforcement of unfair competition issues, including noncompete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, confidentiality agreements, and misappropriation of trade secrets. He has experience handling contentious matters of all types and has litigated and defended clients against allegations of discrimination, wrongful discharge, retaliation, wage violations and a myriad of other employment-related disputes. Michael is also routinely hired to handle sensitive internal investigations involving high-level executives.
Michael has a long track record of successfully resolving contentious matters for clients both at trial and through alternative dispute resolution. He has represented clients in multi-weeklong trials and arbitrations, involving claims such as breach of contract, fraud, unjust enrichment, and breach of other fiduciary duties, as well as numerous other torts and causes of action. In addition to litigating on behalf of his clients, Michael often helps them avoid litigation by identifying risks they face in their business, and then developing strategies for avoiding, minimizing and managing those risks
