Biography

Marcey serves as the director of practice services for all business practice areas within Frost Brown Todd across the firm’s footprint. She has over 20 years of experience in professional services, including more than 15 years in the legal industry. Marcey supports the business department chair, the department’s practice group leaders, and other key leaders in areas including strategic planning, budgeting and financial analysis, resource planning and management, and performance management. Marcey assists the chair and practice group leaders in driving overall performance and profitability as well as strategic growth of the firm’s business practices.

Prior to joining FBT, Marcey held practice management and business development roles at Fried Frank Shriver Harris & Jacobsen, Debevoise & Plimpton and Ropes & Gray in their New York City offices, with responsibilities across the full spectrum of practice management disciplines, including business planning, business development and marketing, attorney development and staffing, training and professional development, team-building, operations and administration, and knowledge management, among others. She also served as Chief Development Officer for her law school alma mater New York Law School. Marcey began her legal career as a corporate associate at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York and served as law clerk to the Honorable Ronald L. Gilman, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, in Memphis, TN.

Prior to law school, Marcey worked in interactive marketing. She also spent three years in Poland, where she taught college-level English and helped launch Central Europe’s first personalized email news service.

Marcey received her J.D., summa cum laude, from New York Law School and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Ohio Wesleyan University. She was born and raised in Cincinnati.
