Biography

Kenny is an Associate in our Tax, Benefits, & Estates practice group. Prior to this role, he was a Legal Extern at the IRS, Office of Chief Counsel, a Summer Associate at Frost Brown Todd, and a Summer Law Clerk at Lorch Naville Ward, LLC.

He earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where he engaged in numerous student organizations and activities. While in law school, Kenny served as the editor in chief of the University of Louisville Law Review, and was a research assistant for three professors. For his leadership of law review, he was awarded the Robert C. Jayes Memorial Award for Outstanding Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. In recognition of his legal writing excellence, he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Lawyering Skills in Spring 2022 and was elected to the law school Honor Council.

Kenny also taught constitutional law to Central High School students as an Instructor for the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Program. For his teaching, Kenny was awarded the Marshall-Brennan excellence in teaching award two years in a row. Additionally, he was an active member of the Office of Student Affairs and Diversity Task Force, working on initiatives to enhance diversity and inclusion within the law school community.

Kenny graduated cum laude from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service, and he also holds an Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Service from Mid-America College of Funeral Service, where he graduated with honors. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Indiana and Kentucky and a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP).
