James is a corporate attorney in Frost Brown Todd’s Business Combinations & Capital Transactions practice group. James focuses his practice on the needs of privately held businesses in relation to business combinations and corporate governance matters, as well as advising startups, venture capital, and private equity funds. He also has a keen interest in cross-border commercial transactions and is a member of Frost Brown Todd’s International Services Group.
James earned his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he served as the business manager & outreach director on the journal’s executive board and secretary of the Student Bar Association. Prior to attending law school, James worked in London, England, as an investigative consultant where he spearheaded complex cross-border due diligence, political risk, and asset recovery investigations across a range of industries and markets. He earned his undergraduate degree in French and Russian from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom in 2013.
