Jacob (Jake) is an attorney in the Product, Tort, and Insurance practice group. He has worked in the field of civil litigation since his second year of law school. Since then, he has worked hands-on through every stage of litigation including discovery, mediation, trial, and appeal.
Jake’s current practice focuses mainly on defending both products and insurers on a national scale.
Jake has also argued in front of several appellate courts, including arguing before the Ohio Supreme Court where he was successful in limiting a healthcare employer’s vicarious liability for the alleged malpractice of its physician employees.
Jake also worked in-house with one of the nation’s largest insurers and also externed at one of Ohio’s largest hospital systems.
Jake earned his B.S. in neuroscience from Bowling Green State University where he graduated with a 4.0 undergraduate GPA. Jake earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati where he graduated cum laude.
Although originally a Hoosier, Jake has since found his home in Harrison, Ohio. There, he lives with his wife, daughter, son, and two dogs. Jake, an avid sports fan, wrestled in college and continues to follow the sport today. He is a member of The Ohio Academy of Science and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
