Biography

Heather is an Associate in the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Group. She has experience with cases involving landlord-tenant law, public benefits, clemency petitions, immigration, and bankruptcy. She earned her J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, focusing on public interest law, alternative dispute resolution technology and artificial intelligence. While there, she was an active member of the law school community, participating in the Bluhm Legal Clinic, the Julius H. Miner Moot Court Competition, and the Latinx Law Students Association. She also worked as a research assistant and as a tutor in the Writing Lab at Northwestern, and was a Mediator in the Circuit Court of Cook County through the Center for Conflict Resolution.

Prior to law school, she was a preschool teacher at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga where she created and implemented dual language immersion curriculum for a bilingual preschool.
