Eric is a senior associate in Frost Brown Todd’s Cincinnati-area offices, where he focuses his practice on helping private companies of all shapes and sizes navigate the wide-ranging legal and strategic issues that arise in the life of a business. To that end, Eric provides owners, executives and other stakeholders in the family-owned, closely held and private equity-backed clients he serves with trusted counsel regarding business planning and formation, succession, mergers and acquisitions, and a broad variety of operational matters. He has substantial experience negotiating, reviewing, and drafting contracts and other legal documents, and has assisted buying and selling parties with acquisitions and dispositions in an array of industries. His deal list includes transactions with varying degrees of complexity and purchase consideration ranging from under $1 million to over $100 million.
Eric is a member of the firm’s Business Combinations & Capital Transactions Practice Group, as well as its Manufacturing and Private Equity Industry Teams. Before entering private practice, Eric served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Minnesota, principally in the area of state employment regulation. He also holds graduate degrees in behavioral psychology and writing and is a former public school teacher.
