Amanda has represented businesses of every size from closely-held to Fortune 100 companies, banks, healthcare providers, non-profits, law firms, and individuals in disputes involving contract, business torts, defamation, ownership, unfair competition, employment, and professional liability matters. Represented nursing home and management company in an employment discrimination proceeding pursued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of multiple former employees, resulting in successful partial summary judgment motion, federal jury trial, and affirmance on appeal of all issues.
Represented hospital and physician group in defending against physician’s claims of wrongful termination of employment and hospital privileges.
Represented publicly traded company in successful 7th Circuit appeal of adverse jury verdict in a multi-count defamation suit.
Obtained defense verdict for physician in medical malpractice jury trial.
Represented real estate marketing company and owners in multi-forum litigation involving fraud and contract-based claims by real estate purchasers.
Represented closely held business in state court non-compete litigation involving former employees.
Represented regional bank in multiple suits by subordinated and participant lenders relating to real estate development loan; successfully defeated fraud and related allegations through summary judgment; assisted bank to obtain and manage receivership, and subsequent purchase of development.
Represented landlord obtaining injunctive relief against nationwide tenant lease breaches.
Represented corporation and its President in litigation against former officers alleged to have engaged in wrongful competition and breach of fiduciary duties, tortious interference with business relationships, and related torts.
Represented banks in shareholder merger disputes.
Represented gas supplier in requirements contract dispute.
