Frost Brown Todd (FBT) is pleased to announce that it has added Ryan Preston and Sam Joyner as Members in the firm’s Dallas office. Preston counsels and represents clients with respect to technology transactions, data optimization, outsourcing and other complex commercial arrangements as well as related areas of M&A and private equity activity. Joyner brings years of litigation experience helping clients of all sizes to protect and enhance their competitive positions by leveraging their intellectual property. He represents clients across a variety of industries and in subject matters ranging from patent and trade secret infringement suits to business litigation and antitrust and RICO Act claims.

In addition to his work in federal and state courts, Joyner has represented clients before the U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Homeland security and Texas Attorney General. Joyner is listed as a Texas Super Lawyers®. He is a graduate of West Point and a former Airborne Infantry Ranger. He earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
Preston earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He attended Southern Methodist University and graduated with a B.B.A. in finance and a B.S. in economics with financial applications. He was recognized for the last five years by U.S. News – Best Lawyers® for Privacy and Data Security, Information Technology, technology and IT outsourcing.
