Jennifer Barber has been named the Member-in-Charge of Frost Brown Todd’s (FBT) Louisville office. She has been with the firm since 2013. Barber focuses her law practice on state and local tax, economic incentives, and government affairs. Most recently, Barber served as United States Delegate to the United Nations and Special Advisor to U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Kelly Craft.

Barber earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Kentucky (UK). She has served on the UK Board of Trustees, Kentucky State Fair Board, U.S. Bank Advisory Board, Louisville Bar Association Board of Directors, Kentucky Bar Foundation, and American Bar Association Tax Section Executive Committee.
Barber is a Louisville Business First “Enterprising Woman to Watch” and “Forty Under 40” honoree. She is the recipient of both the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating and Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers and has been listed in Kentucky Super Lawyers® and The Best Lawyers in America©. Jennifer is married to former Kentucky Transportation Cabinet State Highway Engineer, Andy Barber. The couple has two daughters, Molly and Lucy.
Barber replaces Geoff White who held the position for seven years. He remains with the firm in other leadership roles.
Additionally, Member Jason C. Williams from the firm’s Louisville office was named to the Executive Committee, the firm’s equivalent of a Board of Directors. Williams joined FBT in 2003 and currently leads the firm’s Franchise and Hospitality industry team. His practice focuses on franchise law, corporate transactions and mergers and acquisitions with public and private companies. Williams has expertise in a wide variety of restaurant system topics including supply chain, procurement, distribution, acquisition and divestiture of restaurant outlets/systems, brand protection, quality assurance and franchise regulation.
Williams, a Louisville native, earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Yale University. He earned his J.D. from the UK College of Law. He has been recognized as a Kentucky Super Lawyers®, Louisville Magazine Top Lawyer, Louisville Business First “Forty Under 40”, and Who’s Who in Black Louisville. UK College of Law honored him with an Alumni Young Professional Award.
Williams has served on the Louisville/Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District Board of Directors, Lincoln Foundation Board of Trustees, Yale University Alumni Schools Committee and as a mentor for the Whitney M. YOUNG Scholars Program and Louisville Central Magnet Career Academy. Jason is married to District Court Judge Erica Lee Williams and they have one daughter, Jacqueline.
