Frost Brown Todd attorney Daniel Mudd has been appointed member of the newly created Athletic Boosters Committee of the Louisville Sports Commission (LSC). As part of the 22-member committee, Mudd will work with the LSC’s staff and board of directors on a number of sports-related activities. The Athletic Boosters Committee will contribute to fundraising and community outreach activities, specifically the Golden Ticket raffle and Insiders Membership Campaign, and will also work in partnership with the LSC staff to identify, create and help manage additional activities that enhance the organization’s hosted, owned and operated events.
“We’re extremely pleased to welcome these individuals to the Louisville Sports Commission family,” says Karl Schmitt, executive director of the LSC. “We’ve been looking for a way to engage more people in all the exciting sporting activities in which we’re involved; the Athletic Boosters is a great opportunity for these young professionals to make a difference and help advance the LSC mission. These individuals will bring a diverse business background and innovative thinking to the Sports Commission as we work to fulfill our mission of creating a legacy of economic and social vitality through sports.”
The committee members are professionals from some of the largest companies and organizations in the Louisville area. Mudd, who is a senior associate on Frost Brown Todd’s Regional State Tax and Incentives Team, focuses his law practices in the areas of sales and healthcare-related tax, tobacco tax and energy exemptions. He received his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law and his bachelor’s degree from the UK Gatton College of Business.
