Rescheduled TBD: Investigating Health Care Fraud

May 19, 2015

CANCELED rescheduled time TBD

Health Care fraud is a growing problem nationally.  It is a hot area for enforcement both civilly and criminally.  Whistleblowers are attracted by the incentive of sharing in recoveries by government agencies.  The fines and penalties can be staggering.  Many health care organizations are not prepared to deal with this trend or even understand how it occurs.

In an effort to increase awareness and education surrounding Health Care Fraud, Frost Brown Todd LLC is pleased to announce Lloyd Early, Special Agent-In Charge of the Ohio Attorney General’s Health Care Fraud Unit, will present an overview of Medicaid Provider Fraud in Ohio. Special Agent Early’s presentation will cover topics related to:

  • Current trends in Healthcare Fraud
  • Potential Criminal and Civil Penalties
  • False Claims Act (Qui Tam) Actions

Immediately following the presentation Frost Brown Todd’s Health Care Practice Group Leader, Tom Anthony, will moderate a panel discussion related to fraud with panelists Kevin Tierney (FBT Attorney, Former Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service and former federal prosecutor), Aaron Haslam (FBT Attorney and former Executive Director for the State Medical Board of Ohio) and Lloyd Early.

Parking is located at the ACC Lot on 4th Street between State St and Broad St – A special event rate of $3/car will apply.
