Frost Brown Todd (FBT) has announced the addition of Ryan Whitaker as a partner in the firm’s Cincinnati office. Whitaker joins FBT with extensive experience in tax planning and compliance, business and transactional law, and real estate.
Whitaker’s distinguished career includes a focus on federal, state, and local tax planning and controversy matters. He has successfully handled tax-free corporate reorganizations and divestitures, development projects under the Qualified Opportunity Zone program, tax audits, appeals, and tax court litigation. Additionally, Whitaker is well-versed in complex tax-deferred real estate exchanges.
In his real estate practice, Whitaker represents property owners, developers, and investors in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, development, and leasing matters. His corporate practice involves counseling privately held businesses on commercial contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, and succession planning.

He is also actively involved in the community, serving on the Board of Trustees for PreventionFIRST! and chairing the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Taxation Section.
