John is a member of the firm’s Business Combinations & Capital Transactions Group and a member of the Mobility & Transportation sub-team, serving on the Automotive Pit Crew. John has over 7 years of experience working in the legal department of a major automotive OEM, currently on assignment several days a week from FBT as the primary onsite attorney at the OEM’s multiple Michigan R&D facilities.
John advises his clients, including business executives, scientists, researchers and engineers, on diverse legal matters. John primarily drafts and negotiates commercial agreements relating to technology R&D, while also providing his clients guidance on topics related to intellectual property, supply chain, data privacy, security, licensing, export control, environmental, employment, real estate and regulatory matters.
Helped to lead development of a major automotive OEM standard terms and conditions design language, and updating internal corporate processes related to implementation.
Led the legal and business teams from a major automotive OEM in creating a multi-million-dollar facility rental program.
Developed training materials for live and online legal training and implemented company-wide process for execution and tracking at a major automotive OEM.
