Haifeng focuses his practice on U.S. corporate and commercial laws, advising clients with a variety of corporate and business matters such as business formation, business growth, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, leveraged buy-out, sales and product distributorship, joint ventures, intellectual property, and cross-border investment and transactions. He has served clients from a variety of industries, such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy, chemical, real estate and technologies.
With respect to his cross-border investment and transactions practice, Haifeng has significant experiences in assisting international clients with various projects in the U.S. involving strategic business planning and negotiation, economic incentives, corporate governance, stock and asset purchases, sales and product distributorship, real estate (including manufacturing plants and warehouses) acquisition and leasing, intellectual property licensing and assignment, and other commercial transactions. Additionally, he has coordinated with other attorneys as a team advising issues related to business litigation, employment, international trade, immigration, and tax and regulatory compliance. His international clients include multinational corporations, large publicly traded companies, medium and small-sized companies (including start-ups) and individuals doing business in the U.S. He also assists the U.S. businesses with their projects in foreign countries, including subsidiaries overseas, business alliances, outsourcing, product distributorship, franchise, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance issues.
Haifeng graduated from Washington University School of Law, with both a J.D. and LL.M in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. He also graduated from Shanghai University School of Law, with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) degree. Haifeng speaks Mandarin and English as his working language, and is also familiar with several Chinese dialects.
