Benjamin’s practice focuses on assisting companies with corporate matters, acquisitions and divestitures, and private equity transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Benjamin was internal counsel for three multistate post-acute health care companies with a primary focus on regulatory compliance and transactions.
In addition, before attending law school Benjamin was a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. As a result, Benjamin has over 10 years of operational and legal experience in the post-acute health care industry. Specific sectors include Medicare Advantage products, skilled nursing facilities, behavioral health hospitals, institutional pharmacies, home health agencies, hospice organizations, rehabilitation companies and nurse practitioner services.
During law school Benjamin was a member of the University of Louisville Law Review, received the book award for Legal Research and was extremely active in the University of Louisville/Central High School Teaching Partnership. In that program, Benjamin taught both Street Law and Marshall Brennan where he received recognition as the teacher of the year for both courses. Benjamin was also named the Central High Fellow.
